The Next Chapter for WP Zone – Evolving with Divi 5
If it’s felt a little quiet around here lately, you’re not wrong.
We’ve been heads-down behind the scenes – reflecting, rebuilding, and preparing for one of the biggest transitions the Divi ecosystem has ever seen.
Before anything else, thank you. To our lifetime members, loyal customers, and community who’ve stuck with us through every update, feature release, and WordPress evolution – your patience and support mean the world to us.
The Web Is Changing – And So Is Divi
Divi 5 marks the most ambitious update in Divi’s history, a complete re-architecture of the framework that’s faster, leaner, and more modern than ever before. It’s an exciting evolution that opens the door to incredible new possibilities for everyone building with Divi.
For developers like us, it also means a season of adapting and re-imagining. While Elegant Themes continues refining documentation and tools for partners, we’re using this time to study the new system carefully and plan our next moves with intention.
This is a period of preparation, not panic, making sure every WP Zone product is ready to perform beautifully when Divi 5 reaches its full public release.
When Core Evolves, So Must We
Many of the features we’ve loved creating for years – things like Flex layouts, Grid systems, and Carousel modules – are now becoming native to Divi 5 itself.
That’s a great thing for users, and it challenges us to raise the bar even higher. We’re focusing on deeper customization, smarter workflows, and design freedom that goes beyond the basics.
Our goal isn’t to rebuild what Divi provides out of the box – our goal is to extend what Divi 5 makes possible, helping creators and agencies work faster, design bolder, and deliver more value to their clients.
A Candid Look at the Process
Divi 5’s foundation is entirely new, which means testing, compatibility, and feature development all require a fresh start.
We’re moving deliberately, not hurriedly. Every decision we make now is about one thing: creating dependable, forward-thinking tools that last.
Some Internal Changes – and a Personal Note
This year has also brought some big changes within WP Zone itself.
My longtime business partner Cory Jenkins has moved on to an opportunity he couldn’t pass up – one that’s best for him and his family. While I’ll miss working side by side with him, I couldn’t be happier for where life is taking him. Cory has been, and always will be, an essential part of what we built together.
That does mean that for the first time in a long time, I’m manning the ship solo … and that’s one of the reasons things have been quieter than usual. I’ve spent much of this year doing some honest soul-searching, reflecting on what’s next for WP Zone and for me personally.
At the same time, two of our main developers – Anna Widera and Jonathan Hall — launched their own company, BerryPress. I fully support and celebrate that decision, and I value the positive relationship that continues between us.
We even sold BerryPress a suite of our WooCommerce products so WP Zone could refocus entirely on Divi … where we started, and where our passion truly lies.
So yes — things have changed. But change isn’t always bad. Sometimes it’s just growth in disguise.
The truth is, this year hasn’t been easy. There were moments where everything felt uncertain – when I wasn’t sure if I should let go of what we built or start something entirely new. Ultimately, I decided to do both.
I’m moving forward with renewed inspiration for WP Zone, and at the same time starting a new passion project that I’ve dreamed about for years. I’ll be documenting and sharing that journey – what it means to rebuild, to evolve, and to create from a place of purpose again.
I don’t have all the answers yet (does anyone ever?), but you can expect plenty of blog posts, social updates, and maybe even a new podcast along the way.

I’ve always been passionate about helping others and sharing what I learn freely, and that won’t change. One of the things I’m most excited to dive into is AI and the future of the web (at least as I see it).
What’s Next
Once Divi 5 reaches its stable public release and the developer APIs are finalized, WP Zone products will be fully compatible.
That includes every other active plugin in our line up. Lifetime members will receive these updates automatically, no extra cost, no action needed.
We’re already preparing compatibility frameworks, testing new builds, and mapping how each plugin will adapt to Divi 5.
Reconnecting with the Community
Expect more blog updates, behind-the-scenes insights, and open discussions about what’s next – including sneak peeks into how Divi 5 development is shaping our next generation of tools.
We’re rebuilding momentum through client projects, collaborations, and creative experiments that remind us why we started WP Zone: to help Divi creators build better, faster, and more beautifully.
Looking Ahead
Change is never easy — but it’s often where the best ideas are born.
This next chapter for WP Zone is about refinement, focus, and staying true to the community that helped build us. We’re grateful you’ve been part of our journey, and we can’t wait to show you what’s next as we evolve with Divi 5.
Stay tuned! Updates are coming soon!
And as always, thank you for believing in us.
