Once installed and activated, the Potent Donations for WooCommerce WordPress plugin will add a new menu item named Donations Settings to the WooCommerce menu, in addition to registering the Donation product type with WooCommerce.

Add New Donation Product

Once the plugin is activated, a new product type option, Donation, will be added to the drop-down list in the heading of the “Product data” box when editing a WooCommerce product. Once the user sets up a new product with the product type as Donation and specifies the default amount of the donation, the user can begin accepting donations on the site. The user can also change how much the donation amount is incremented by when the donor uses the up and down arrows in the amount field on the frontend of the site.

Plugin Settings

In the plugin settings the user can decide whether they’d like to disable the donation amount field when the frontend user views their cart. The donor can still specify an amount for the donation on the product page, before the donation is added to their cart.
